I have never been someone to follow trends or styles. I’ve always kind of did my own thing when it comes to fashion, so everyone school was eager to see what I would come up with to wear to prom. As most expected, I decided that I wanted vintage prom dresses included in the night.
I have always loved vintage things. Take a look at my room and you’ll see that firsthand. I love the 50s and the 60s, and the 70s were pretty cool, too. I love music and clothing form each of these eras. When I decided that I wanted vintage prom dresses, I had no clue as to where to even begin to find them. A friend told me about Stacee and I decided that this was the shop for me. I liked their style! If you want to read more about Stacee and look at their dresses, you can click the link.
The A-Line Sweetheart Beaded Dress ultimately won my heart over. Now, I’ve told you how much I love vintage things, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I am a woman and love all things womanly. I love how this dress shaped my figure and made me look absolutely incredible! To be honest, for a few moments in time I felt like a rock star with an audience because I definitely turned heads.
I selected the dress in the fantastic white color and took it upon myself to add flashes of color with a headband, a pair of gloves, and a sash. Might I add that I got each in a different shade. I was a color clash and I loved every single minute of it -as did all of my fellow students and friends.
This dress zips at the side, which I thought was pretty cool. And, the ruffled sleeveless shoulders really gave me a thrill. Since the dress was floor length, the only time that I got on the dance floor was for the slow dances, but that was okay. It was nonetheless one of the best nights of my life.
I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I received on my dress and I admit that it is a gorgeous dress. It is hanging in my closet and I do plan to find somewhere to wear it to again in the near future!
